her book say

if you avoid the stormy chapters,
how will you ever find meaning
in the rainbow-filled ones?

My Thoughts:

I listened to poetry collections by Amanda Lovelace before. The first was Flower Crowns & Fearsome Things, which I think was very good. Unlock Your Storyheart Book is part of the collection You Are Your Own Fairytale. I listened to all three audiobooks. You can listen to these audiobooks in any order you choose. Or even listen to just one and you will be able to enjoy it without the feeling you are missing something. Make sure you listen to trigger warnings at the beginning of this audiobook.

Unlock Your Storyheart Book is a collection of mostly short poems inspired by various fairytales, but mostly by Beauty And The Beast. I liked the music at the beginning and the end. I liked the poetry and the general idea. But again, as with others from this collection, sometimes it all sounded more like a self-help book than poetry. I think this was my favourite of all three.

Amanda Lovelace is also the narrator of her poetry book and I liked that. She did an excellent job, as always.

About the Author

Amanda Lovelace (she/they) is the author of several bestselling poetry titles, including her celebrated "women are some kind of magic" series as well as her new “you are your own fairy tale” trilogy. she is also the co-creator of the believe in your own magic oracle deck. when she isn't reading, writing, or drinking a much-needed cup of coffee, you can find her casting spells from her home in a (very) small town on the jersey shore, where she resides with her poet-spouse & their three cats.
