My Thoughts:
A young girl is sick in bed while downstairs there’s a party. One guest is an actor who will perform a spooky role for other guests. Before that, he performs for the sick girl. This is an interesting short ghost story written by the second wife of H.G. Wells. At first, I didn’t think it would offer much, but in the end, it delivered what I expected.
I listened to the audio version narrated by Elliot Fitzpatrick, whose narration is very good.
