Excerpt from the Book:
Cobba ran into the water and splashed a pawful of water at Clancy, who didn't mind at all, the two of them laughing. It had been a hot day and the cool water was just what they needed. Twilight was just about the best time to have a little splash, as the water was lovely temperature and most of the turists had left the beach and were busy having dinner in their chalets and cottages, or at the pubs or restaurants. Being Christmas Eve made it even more special, as there were beautiful coloured lights all along the shore, the red, green, gold and blue light dancing on the water as the waves washed in.
My Thoughts:
Christmas adventure from Australia. So no snow here, but we have two little quokkas that go for a swim on Christmas Eve. Something different for this year’s Christmas story.
Two quokkas, Clancy and Cobba, see Santa ride his sleigh on Christmas eve. But he has a minor accident, and the presents are scattered all over. Santa collects most of them, but a few are left behind. Clancy and Cobba make a quest to deliver the presents themselves.
This is a cute fable for children, perfect for this part of the year when Christmas is near. The story holds an important message: you can do it if you believe in yourself. Narration by Aimee Horne is excellent. Children will love it!
